Wholesale Delivery Driver

 
 

Job Title: Office Administrator
Reports to: Controller
Department: Finance
Classification: Hourly
Location: 220 2nd Street; Chelsea, MA 02150

Summary of Position:

The Office Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for the office, and the day-to-day accounting activities related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash transactions.  This role requires multi-tasking at many levels and is a great opportunity for someone to manage the activities of a growing company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Maintaining master data in ERP system related to accounts receivable customers and accounts payable vendors
  • Entering vendor invoices into the system following review and proper approvals
  • Issuing timely payment to vendors
  • Maintaining invoice and payment documentation
  • Reviewing incoming payments from customers and enter payments into system for timely accounts receivable reporting
  • Providing weekly cash reconciliations and snapshots of sales, accounts receivable and accounts payable to the Controller and Management
  • Retrieving mail from both locations (Chelsea and Everett)
  • Answering phone calls and emails related to billing
  • Manage employee gift cards monthly, including creating new employee gift cards when necessary.
  • Occasional trips to the Bank for deposits
  • Managing the office/kitchen/bathroom supplies and placing orders when needed
  • Completing other tasks as assigned by the Controller and Management

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • 1-5 years experience in office management and AP/AR
  • Brewery experience a plus

Knowledge:

  • ERP workflow related to accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • General ledger applications

Skills:

  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Prepare account reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Hot, cold, steamy, foggy, wet conditions
  • Noise (up to 90 dB)
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals, hot water, cold water, hazardous gases, and pressurized vessels
  • Exposure to machinery with moving parts
  • Wet floors
  • Occasional entry into confined spaces
  • Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing
  • Seeing, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds and moving up to 170 pounds

Job Title: Wholesale Delivery Driver

Summary of Position:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and knowledgeably delivering Night Shift Distributing products to our wholesale accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Load the Night Shift delivery vehicle with inventory
  • Deliver beer to all Night Shift accounts throughout MA (15-30 accounts per day)
  • Manage invoices and checks via the Encompass RAS system
  • Unload truck at end of day
  • Report to Management on a weekly basis to outline goals and tasks
  • Be punctual and professional, every day
  • Bring an energetic, cooperative, proactive, self-motivated attitude
  • Grow within Night Shift and expand your role as a key member of our team
  • Employ innovative, creative thinking
  • Lead and help other brewery employees as appropriate

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Entry level to 2 years delivery experience.
  • Clean driving record
  • Wholesale Alcohol delivery experience a plus.
  • CDL is a plus

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of beer styles and handling
  • Safe Operation of the Delivery Vehicle
  • Familiarity with NSD delivery Area
  • NSD partner brands and their packaging
  • Proper beer storage procedure

Skills:

  • Operate class 5 vehicle
  • Operate forklift.
  • Utilize a hand truck for deliveries
  • Proper palletization techniques
  • Strong directional skills
